David Stern has broad and deep experience consulting to the healthcare industry.
Prior to founding Stern Consulting, he spent six years advising hospitals at APM, then the country's largest healthcare management
consulting firm. After APM's incorporation into CSC Healthcare, Mr. Stern helped run CSC's healthcare informatics subsidiary. He also spent two years as a managing director with the Crescent Group, a healthcare analysis and litigation support firm.
Mr. Stern counts among his clients a wide range of healthcare practitioners and investors. His client list includes the
nation’s largest pharmaceutical company; the nation’s largest investment bank; the nation's largest pharmacy benefits
manager; the nation’s second largest publicly-traded hospital chain; and numerous other hospital systems, healthcare

Previously, Mr. Stern served as marketing coordinator in the medical products department of Canon's European headquarters where he developed marketing strategy for a new healthcare information technology product. He also
worked as an executive search consultant at Technics in Management Transfer in Japan. He has served as a guest lecturer in fields ranging from management and healthcare economics to journalism ethics,
at NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Middlebury College and Vanderbilt University. He also contributed
to the textbook, Strategic Management for Nonprofit Organizations: Theory and Cases (Oster, 1995). He earned an MBA
from the Yale School of Management and a BA in economics from Yale College.
Mr. Stern's extra-curricular pursuits include serving on the boards of directors of the Westchester Institute for Human Development and the Edgemont Community Council as well as the board of special advisors of Renovation in Music Education. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter. He enjoys canoeing the wilderness whitewater of Alaska and Canada. He lives
with his wife and three children in suburban New York.
