About Stern Consulting

Stern Consulting provides specialty analytic and consulting services for hospital systems, healthcare companies and investors in the hospital and healthcare industries.

The firm was first founded to advise hospital and healthcare systems on issues of strategy, operations and Medicare compliance. Stern Consulting's clients have ranged from nationwide hospital chains and major teaching institutions to small rural hospitals; the firm has served hospitals across the country including two of the nation's five largest healthcare systems. Stern Consulting has performed business planning and market studies for the nation's largest pharmaceutical company as well as the market-leading pharmacy benefits manager. The firm has also performed market analyses for firms ranging from an early stage disease management company to a leading outsourcer of revenue cycle management for large hospital systems. Selected healthcare clients are listed here.

In more recent years (through membership in Gerson Lehrman Group's Council of Healthcare Advisors), it became clear that the firm's expertise in hospital strategy, operations and analysis could prove invaluable to investors in private and publicly-traded hospital and healthcare companies. As such, in recent years, Stern Consulting has provided advice and analytic services to a series of high-profile institutional investors. Selected investment industry clients are listed here.
